April 1-8 Star Wars – Where Science Meets Imagination Exhibit
Star Wars fans should visit this exhibition at the Orlando Science Centre before it ends. Developed in collaboration with Star Wars Director George Lucas this 10,000 ft exhibition explores the fantastical technologies in the films and the real science behind them. I wonder how close we are to seeing a Light Saber on sale at Walmart?

April 5-14 Florida Film Festival
If you are a film buff, you might want to browse the selection of films in this year’s Florida Film Festival. Held at theaters in Maitland, Winter Garden and Winter Park the festival is in its 22nd year, this year’s Florida Film Festival challenges viewers to “open their eyes” with a selection of films that attempt to expand horizons. Sounds like a good time! Plus, the Festival website has all the details you need to plan your schedule!

April 6, 13 & 20 Mardi Gras
Get ready to swing those hips to the salsa beat and celebrate Mardi Gras during your visit to Universal Studios. We recommend visiting on a Saturday evening so that you can enjoy the Mardi Gras parade.
Entry to the parade is included in your admission ticket price. Check the route and times on the Universal Studio website.

April 10, 13 & 15 NBA Games
Basketball fans can enjoy some NBA excitement as the Orlando Magics have three games scheduled in April, with match-ups against the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls. Click through to the team’s website to find out game and ticket details.

April 13 & 14 Blues at the Winery
Enjoy sipping a glass of wine and listening to the Blues at Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards in Clermont. We think that this would be the perfect way to chill out after the excitement of the amusement parks. No ticket is required, just a $2 donation. There will be wine, beer, soft drinks and food available for purchase as well as vineyard tours and wine tastings.

April 27 & 28 Great American Pie Festival
Drive up to Celebration, FL this weekend and celebrate that great American tradition of the pie. There will be pie making, pie decorating and of course the All You Can Eat pie buffet. Check out the Great American Pie Festival website for more information.
